Army kills 6 terrorists in Borno
The Nigerian army says it has killed six terrorists in Dikwa local government area of Borno during an operation to dislodge the remnant of Boko Haram insurgents in the state. In a statement, the director, army public relations, Sani Usman in Maiduguri discloses that the insurgents were killed on Monday.
The statement explains that the troops recovered six bicycles, three Dane guns and one machete from the insurgents.
It reiterates the commitment of the Nigerian army to sustain the tempo and clear unrepentant Boko Haram insurgents from the shores of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian army has called on the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists to surrender to avoid humiliating death from the renewed onslaught of the army.
In a statement, the army by its spokesman, Sani Usman told the members that their leaders have already abandoned them.
The federal government recently redeployed service chiefs to the front line as well as purchased more fighter jets to combat the menace of terrorism in the northeast.
