APC alleges PDP behind attack on Osun campaign office
Police in Osun state say it will not condone any act of violence particularly with respect to the destruction of property of residents.
This is coming on the heels of attack launched against the campaign office of APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Ilesha Osun state by some political thugs.
The immediate past commissioner of works in the state Remi Omowaye who confirmed the incident said the political thugs shot sporadically at different places within the premises of the office, as the main door, glass windows, billboards and flags of the All Progressives Congress (APC) among other items were damaged.
Omowaye also hinted that the suspected set of thugs, led by one Sunday Amure A.K.A Irawo, also attacked the Chief of Staff to Osun Speaker, Sunkanmi Obisesan also in Ilesha
Omowaye who accused the People’s Democratic Party in the state of being behind the attacks hinted that Obisesan is currently receiving treatment at Wesley Hospital, Ilesa, following the injury he sustained from the attack.
In his reaction through a statement made available to newsmen, the PDP chairman in Osun state Adekunle Akindele said the allegation made by the immediate past commissioner of work is baseless noting that the party is busy working assiduously with the state governor Ademola Adeleke on how to deliver his five point agenda to the people of Osun state
