NSCDC parades 13 suspects in Ekiti

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command has paraded 13 suspected criminals for various offences ranging from cultism, stealing, cyber stalking, criminal conspiracy, assault and attempted murder.

Commandant Olatunde John-Fayemi who paraded the suspects in Ado said that the Counter Terrorism Unit of the Command worked effectively to making sure that the suspects were apprehended.

He said the suspects, Tosin Adebayo 22 years, Abejide Olamide 22 years, Adeoye Adesewa 21years, Oke Oluwanife 22 years old, Ayeni Banke 22 years and Adekola Iremide 22 years had been on the radar of NSCDC before they were apprehended at Ekute Area of the state capital.

The Commandant however said that one Miss Omolola Muda approached the Command and reported a case of attempted murder against the above suspects and how she was mobbed by 7 of them, stripped her naked as a result of a misunderstanding between them and posted the video of her nude on social media platforms.

He added that the victim was subjected to various forms of harassment in the hands of the perpetrators.

In another development, some students of Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti were arrested by the Counter Terrorist Unit of the command over there involvement in cultism activities and robbery.

The suspects, Adebayo Ayomideji 19 years, Aladegbemi Oluwafemi 22 years, Ayedemi Damilola Tosin (f) 18 years, Oyebanji Selim 20 years, Abiodun Taiwo (f) 23 years old Taiwo Okunmakinju (f) 23 years and Abiodun Kehinde Seun (f) 25 years were arrested with some of the stolen goods in their custody.

Commandant Fayemi, said that the suspects are assisting them to trace other members of their cult group with an assurance that other will be arrested and send to court after thorough investigation
