Kano residents defy curfew order to celebrate NNPP governorship victory
Residents have taken to the streets of Kano to celebrate the victory of the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Abba Kabir.
Residents is reported to have defied the dawn-to-dusk curfew impose by the Kano state government to prevent a breakdown of law and order amid mounting tensions during the collation of results.

Report has Kabir scored 1,019,602 votes to defeat his closest contender, Nasir Gawuna of APC who polled 890,705 votes.
