NSCDC warns officers against human rights abuse

As the general election draw near, the commandant general of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Abubakar Audi has warned officers and men of the Corps against violation of fundamental human rights.

Commandant General Abubakar Audi who stated this at the passing out ceremony of weapon handling training conducted for officers in Osun state command said any officers found culpable of the act will be dealt with accordingly.

The NSCDC Commandant General who was represented by the assistant commandant General in charge of Zone J Adeyinka Fasiu tasked the officers to deploy their skills and weapons in conformity with rules of engagement.

Audi reiterated the Agency commitment in making the country safe for all and sundry.

Also speaking Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye urged officers and men of the Corps to fulfil their responsibilities being the closest.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of awards to some outstanding officers and the unveiling of NSCDC emergency response lines and ambulance .
