Updated: Ekiti gov. inaugurates presidential campaign committee ahead 2023 general elections

Ekiti state governor, Biodun Oyebanji has inaugurated a 143 man presidential campaign committee (PCC).

This is to ensure the victory of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives’ Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the February 25 Presidential election.

The 143 man committee has the mandate of working for the victory of the party’s candidates across all levels in the state and the national Assembly.

While inaugurating the committee, Governor Biodun Oyebanji said that it is the task of the committee to ensure that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged at the poll.

The governor noted that the party would not take the campaign with levity and work for the victory of the party in the state with highest percentage.

Oyebanji described Tinubu as a political enigma whose track records singled him out among other contenders.

He assured that Ekiti would reciprocate the good gesture of Tinubu to the sustainability of democracy in the state

The Former Governor of the state Dr Kayode Fayemi in his comments called for unity of purpose among party members to ensure the victory of their candidates at the coming election.

Fayemi added that in view of the political activities, the state would hold its general campaign on the 3rd of February this year where the party’s presidential flagbearer would be on ground.

The state party chairman who was represented by his deputy Mr Sola Elesin charged all candidates to go back to the grassroots and work for their successes.

Others who spoke at the event called on APC leadership in the state to work on aggrieved members so as to boost the chances of the party.
