PDP senatorial aspirants challenge outcome of primary elections in Ekiti

Two Aspirants in the just concluded National Assembly primary elections of the PDP, Kehinde Agboola and Kayode Ojo have petitioned the National working Committee of the party over what they described as irregularities allegedly perpetrated by former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose.

One of the Senatorial Aspirant in Ekiti North, Kehinde Agboola in a petition submitted to the Secretariat of the party in Ado-Ekiti noted that the electoral panel contravened part IV, Article 17A of the PDP Guidelines for primary election and electoral act.

On his part, Another Senatorial candidate in Ekiti central, Kayode Ojo told reporters that the primary election in the area was characterized with illegality and breach of electoral regulations as prescribed by PDP constitution and the INEC guidelines.

The duo expressed their resolve to challenge the outcome of the primary elections of the party at the court of competent jurisdiction, should it’s leadership failed to as a matter of urgency rescind it’s decision on the conduct of the exercise.
