Ekiti NURTW crisis deepens as members attack colleague for supporting APC guber candidate
The crisis between some members of the National Union of Road Transport workers in Ekiti State deepens, as a former Treasurer of the Union Johnson Omoleye alleged the leadership of the Union of attacking and brutalizing him.
Omoleye who spoke to a section of the newsmen in Ado-Ekiti explained that the attack was premised on the fact that he branded his vehicle to support the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the June 18th Governorship poll in the state.
But in a swift reaction, Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers in the state, Osho Farotimi distanced himself and other members of the Union from the attack, saying the former Treasurer took law to his hand by branding vehicle for a politician without taking permission from the State council of the Union.
Farotimi who further explained that other branches of the Union have sought permission from the State council of the Union before branding their vehicles also alleged that the former Treasurer was trying to sabotage his government.
He called on Driver Union in the state to support the APC Candidate adding that he has no ulterior motives to go against the wishes of the people.
