28 Inmates Beating to Death in Mexico
At least 28 inmates were killed after rioting inmates at a Mexican prison slit throats of their rivals, beating them to death.
Security spokesperson, Roberto Alvarez, said the incident was triggered by an ongoing feud between rival groups within the prison.
Officials initially gave a death toll of five, but the toll soared as police searched the rest of the prison.
However, Guerrero governor has ordered an investigation of all prison staff, with the state police temporarily taking control of the prison.
