24 people died as 42 got injured in Afghan bomb blast
A suicide car bomb has exploded in the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing at least 24 people.
Officials say at least 42 were also injured and there are fears the casualties could rise. The blast happened in the mainly Shia district in the west of the city.
A bus carrying government employees from the ministry of mines was involved in the blast as the Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
Kabul has seen a number of deadly attacks this year, most of which have been blamed on the Taliban or so-called Islamic state.
