Football fans describes non availability of match officials for Insurance, Rangers NPFL clash as ri

The rescheduled match between Bendel Insurance and Enugu Rangers was abandoned yesterday as officials failed to show up for the game billed for the University of Benin sports complex.

Players and officials of the visiting team had arrived on Tuesday and trained at the Uniben sports complex.

Fans who arrived the match venue waited endlessly for match officials to come out of the dressing room for the game to commence.

They were however disappointed when they learnt that there was no official from the League Management Company to officiate the match.

The match was however called off at about 4:45 pm.

Angry fans who spoke with newsmen expressed regret over the non availability of match officials from LMC, describing it as ridiculous.
