Amaechi: Lagos-Ibadan rail will end Apapa gridlock

Minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi has said the Lagos-Ibadan standard guage rail when completed would ease the traffic gridlock in Apapa.

Amaechi said the rail project would aid the movement of goods from Lagos to other parts of the country and ease the pressure on Nigeria road.

The minister spoke while addressing newsmen in Abuja.

He said the standard gauge rail would be efficient, reliable and faster than the present narrow gauge.

The minister explained that project has reached advanced stage and would meet deadline.
