Edo: APC suspends key member

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in ward one at Oredo Local Government of Edo state has suspended one of its prominent members, Charles Airhiavbere for alleged anti-party activities.

Airhiavbere was allegedly caught canvassing votes for PDP during last elections in the state.

A statement by APC executive in ward one in Oredo local government says the party chieftain may be expelled if reasons are not given within 48 hours.

Airhiavbere contested the governorship election primaries in 2016 but lost to the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki.
