Protect humanitarian workers, UN tells federal government

The United Nations has called for the immediate release of the three aid workers abducted by boko haram.

, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria Mr Edward Kallon , made the call during a courtesy call on Governor Kashim Shettima in Maiduguri.

The condemnation was made as part of activities marking the world humanitarian day said the aid workers were abducted on a medical outreach to persons displaced by boko haram.

he urged Nigeria government to protect humanitarian workers providing services for persons affected by colicts.
