Murder: Olukere Pleads Not Guilty, Returned To Remand

The Olukere of Ikere, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin has pleaded not guilty to the three counts charges preferred against him at the Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti.

The three counts charges are conspiracy, murder of one Oluwafemi Adekola , attempted murder to kill one Ayo Osanyinbola and one other, offence punishable under section 301of Criminal code, law of Ekiti State.

The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Gbemiga Daramola, told the court that he has called eight witnesses to give evidence in the case.

The eight witnesses, Daramola added, would testify in court within three days.

Counsel to the accused persons Morakinyo Ogele, said all his clients
would testify in their defence while the evidence of some of the
prosecution witnesses would be useful to the defence.

The trial judge, Justice Abiodun Adesodun, adjourned the case till
March 7 and 8 for the prosecution witnesses to give evidence.
