Lawyer Gives Ekiti Attorney-General 7 Days To Resign

Human Rights Lawyer, Morakinyo Ogele has given the Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kolapo Kolade seven-day ultimatum to resign from his office or be ready to face legal action.

The legal practitioner said his call for the attorney general’s resignation was premise on the alleged politics being played in the trial of Olukere of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin.

Ogele who spoke in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Ado-Ekiti said the whole matter has been politicized.

He explained that the same Director of Public Prosecution that will give legal Advice whether or not Olukere has case to answer is now taking up the matter against him.

Ogele further opined that DPP’s advice is going to be affected.

According to him,there’s no way the accused persons will get reasonable advice from the ministry of Justice.
