NHIS: We are sorting funds to improve access to quality healthcare – Akufo-Addo

President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo says the finances of the National Health Insurance Scheme are being sorted out in order to improve access to quality healthcare.

President Akufo-Addo noted that National Health Insurance Scheme is at the core of the country’s health delivery system and government has a duty to make it work.

He made this known when he delivered a speech at the both congregation and induction ceremony of the school of medical sciences of the university of cape coast.

The president informed his government will strive to complete ongoing projects and expand health promotion programmes across the country.
