Don’t Disrupt Election Process, Kentatta tells the Judiciary

Ahead of next month’s presidential election, President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned the judiciary not to disrupt the election process.

Kenyatta insists that the election will go ahead as planned, despite the high court ordering the election commission not to print ballot papers following a case brought by the opposition.

The Kenyan president argues that the judiciary could not claim independence and then use it to interfere with the functioning of other arms of government.

The opposition party, national super alliance alleges that the president had links to the Dubai-based firm handling the ballot papers, a case the high court has upheld.
