11 inmates gets freedom as 18 others granted bail in Ebonyi

The chief judge of Ebonyi, justice Alloy Nwanko has discharged eleven awaiting trial inmates at the Abakaliki prison, while eighteen others were granted bail.

Nwankwo said the exercise was conducted in order to decongest the prison.

He said nine of the inmates were granted bail on self-recognition, while the other 9 were admitted to conditional bail.

Justice Nwanko warned them to be of good conduct and to avoid any criminal activity that could take them back to prison.
